Los Angeles is well known for it’s many top attractions, such as the Hollywood sign, but there are also many unusual things to do in Los Angeles that attract the crowds too. If you’re looking for something a little offbeat from the norm, head over to some of the best unusual Los Angeles attractions.

 Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Visiting the Hollywood Forever Cemetery is one of the most unusual things to do in Los Angeles but fits well with the very thing Los Angeles is most well known for– it’s celebrities. The Hollywood Forever Cemetery is the final resting place for many legendary icons in the entertainment industry, including rock stars Dee Dee Ramone and Johnny Ramone. Even Cecil B. DeMille and Rudolph Valentino can be found in the cemetery. There’s even a Cemetery of the Stars tour, which allows you to visit the most famous graves while learning the history, mystery and scandal of the departed.

Chicken Boy

If you’re looking for unique things to do in Los Angeles, you have to stop by to see Chicken Boy. On top of the ordinary Future Studio Design and Gallery building, you’ll see a 22-foot fiberglass Chicken Boy perched above. Chicken Boy was originally created as advertising for a fried chicken restaurant in the 1960s. In 2007, Chicken Boy was removed from storage and perched on top of graphic designer Amy Inouye’s design studio, where you can now stop by to check out the giant, or head inside to stock up on Chicken Boy souvenirs.

L.A. Derby Dolls

The Doll Factory may seem like an ordinary doll shop on the outside, but step inside to see the women warriors of the L.A. Derby Dolls battle rival teams on roller skates. This full-contact sport is performed on wooden and steel tracks, where fans can sit in the bleachers to cheer on their favorite skaters. Although these dolls may look nice, the L.A. Derby Dolls are an action packed attraction you won’t want to miss.

We all know there are many great attractions in Los Angeles, but take a few minutes to break away from the ordinary to visit a few of the unusual things to do in Los Angeles. These unique things to do in Los Angeles will give you something distinctive to talk about for years to come.
